Minister Miller will hold a roundtable discussion on new legislation to make social media services and AI chatbots safer for children.

VANCOUVER, BC, July 24, 2026 /CNW/ -- The Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages, will hold an in-person roundtable discussion on Monday with Patrick Weiler, Member of Parliament (West Vancouver–Sunshine Coast–Sea-to-Sky Country), on the new Bill C-34, the Safe Social Media Act. Media are invited to attend the conclusion of the roundtable discussion, which will include remarks summarizing the discussion, followed by a scrum opportunity with the participating stakeholders and the Minister.
